Mirage recasts a video’s subject while keeping the shot. Upload a clip, add stills or clips of what to swap in, name what each one replaces, and Mirage re-renders the scene with them.

Where to find it

Open Mirage from the Tools group in the navigation (it carries a New badge), from the Video sidebar under Characters, or from the Video explore page. The tool lives at /video/mirage.

What you need

Run Mirage

1

Add your video

Drop in the clip you want to keep the camera, timing, and sound from. Mirage works with videos up to 15 seconds. Trim longer clips first.
2

Pick what to swap in

Add stills or clips of the new subjects and name what each one replaces. Set the Keep camera, Keep timing, and Keep audio toggles.
3

Run Mirage

Click Run Mirage. The button shows a credit estimate marked with an asterisk, and reads Shifting while the run is in progress.

Review the result

The stage compares the original with the result. Switch the compare mode between Split and Side by side. Use Download to save the result, or Reuse to bring a past run’s inputs back into the panel. Past runs are listed in the Runs history beside the stage, with a How it works guide next to it. If a run does not finish, the stage reads “This run didn’t finish. Try it again.” and offers a retry.
