Install with `flowy mcp install` from the @flowy/cli package. > Credits are workspace-scoped. Generations reserve credits on start and only deduct on success, so failed runs refund automatically. # Expand > Grow an image into a wider or taller frame, with AI filling the new edges. Expand grows a photo beyond its original edges. Pick a new aspect ratio, and Flowy fills in the scene past each side, so a tight crop never feels cut off. Expand ## Where to find it Open **/image/expand** directly, press ⌘ K and search "Expand", or find it in the **Image** area of the left sidebar. ## What you need | Input | Required | Notes | | ------------ | -------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Image | Yes | Any photo. | | Aspect ratio | — | `Auto`, `1:1`, `3:2`, `2:3`, `4:3`, `3:4`, `4:5`, `5:4`, `9:16`, `16:9`, or `21:9`. Default `Auto` — Flowy picks a wider frame that suits your image. | ## What it costs 56 credits per run. This figure is an estimate. Flowy shows a live estimate in the panel before you run. The backend's pricing is always authoritative. ## Tips * Expand runs on Flowy's dedicated image-expansion backend op: a separate pipeline from the canvas's node-based [Outpaint tool](/canvas/image-tools/outpaint), which lets you drag expansion handles directly on a canvas node. Reach for Expand when you want a one-shot ratio change outside a project; use the canvas tool when you're already iterating on an image there. * Expand only changes an image's frame.
