> ## Agent Instructions
> Flowy is a node-based AI creative platform: you generate images, video, audio, 3D and vector on an infinite Canvas, refine on the Studio timeline, and export or publish from the same project.
> Prefer the Flowy MCP server (https://mcp.tryflowy.ai/mcp) or the REST API at https://apis.tryflowy.ai/v1 for programmatic work. Install with `flowy mcp install` from the @tryflowy/cli package.
> Credits are workspace-scoped. Generations reserve credits on start and only deduct on success, so failed runs refund automatically.

# Casting

> Cast a reusable AI person, then shoot photos, motion, and talking clips of them.

Casting lets you create an AI person once and shoot them anywhere. The same person shows up in every take, as photos, motion clips, or lip-synced talking clips.

## Where to find it

Open **Casting** from the **Tools** group in the navigation (it carries a **New** badge), from the Image sidebar under Characters, or from the **Characters** tab of the [Tools hub](https://docs.tryflowy.ai/tools/overview.md#the-tools-hub). The tool lives at **/casting**.

The page has two tabs: **Cast**, where your cast members live, and **Discover**.

## Cast someone

**1. Pick a type and traits**

Choose a **Type**, then open **Traits** to refine the look. You can also start from a reference photo instead. Add a **Direction** note to steer the result, and set the **Batch size**.

**2. Cast**

Run the cast. Each result is a new cast member in your **Cast** grid.

**3. Open a cast member**

Click a cast member to see their latest shots, rename them, or recreate the look. **Shoot with** the member opens the shoot modes.

## Shoot them

Switch between **Create**, **Photo**, **Motion**, and **Talk** at the top of the page. The same person appears in every take.

| Mode | What it does | Inputs |
| - | - | - |
| **Photo** | Stills of your cast member in a scene | Pick a **Scene** or describe the shot in a **Prompt**, then choose an **Aspect ratio** and a **Count** |
| **Motion** | Your cast member copies a move from a clip | A driving video or a **Motion** preset, optional images and a **Prompt**, and a **Quality** setting |
| **Talk** | Type a line and your cast member says it, lip-synced | A line of text or an uploaded audio file, a **Model**, a **Duration**, and a **Resolution** where the model offers one |

Each mode shows a credit estimate before you run it. Motion is priced per second of the clip. Finished takes collect in the history column beside the stage.
