> ## Agent Instructions
> Flowy is a node-based AI creative platform: you generate images, video, audio, 3D and vector on an infinite Canvas, refine on the Studio timeline, and export or publish from the same project.
> Prefer the Flowy MCP server (https://mcp.tryflowy.ai/mcp) or the REST API at https://apis.tryflowy.ai/v1 for programmatic work. Install with `flowy mcp install` from the @flowy/cli package.
> Credits are workspace-scoped. Generations reserve credits on start and only deduct on success, so failed runs refund automatically.

# Data and Deletion

> Delete a project, empty the trash, delete a workspace or your account, and what each one actually removes.

Deletion works differently depending on what you're deleting. A project gives you a safety net, a workspace doesn't.

## Delete a project

Deleting a project from **Projects** moves it to **Trash** rather than removing it outright. From Trash you can:

* **Restore** it: undoes the delete, no data lost.
* **Delete permanently**: removes it from your Trash for good. If you're the only person with access to the project, that's the end of it. If others in the workspace still have access to it, it can still exist for them. They'd need to remove it from their own Trash too.

Deleting permanently gives you a brief window to **Undo** right after, in case you tap it by mistake.

## Empty the trash

There's no single "empty trash" button. Select the projects you want gone (or all of them) from the Trash tab and choose **Delete permanently** for the selection. It's the same per-project action, applied in bulk.

## Delete a workspace

Only a workspace's Owner can delete it, from the workspace switcher on the left rail. Open the workspace's menu and choose **Delete workspace**. This is the one deletion in Flowy with no safety net:

<Warning>
  Deleting a workspace permanently removes it and everything in it. Every project, asset, and brand kit is gone for good, its subscription is cancelled, and every member loses access immediately. This can't be undone, and there's no trash to recover it from.
</Warning>

A personal workspace (the one created automatically for you) can't be deleted this way. You can only delete additional workspaces you own. Anyone who isn't the Owner sees **Leave workspace** instead, which removes only their own access; see [workspace members](/help/workspace-members) for what leaving or being removed means for the work you made.

## Delete your account

Account deletion is handled by the team rather than a self-serve toggle: email [contact@tryflowy.ai](mailto:contact@tryflowy.ai) from the address on the account, and the team confirms and removes it for you.

<Warning>
  Deleting your account is permanent. Download anything you want to keep first. See [exporting & downloads](/help/exporting).
</Warning>

## What's retained

The actions above describe what you can do yourself in the product. For questions about exactly what's kept, for how long, or in what form after a deletion, beyond what's covered here, [contact support](/help/contact) rather than guessing from the UI alone.
