# Sharing & Access Help

> Fix the common invite, role, and access problems when working with your team.

Collaboration in Flowy runs on workspaces, three roles — **Owner**, **Editor**, and **Viewer** — and a request-access flow for projects. Most sharing problems come down to one of the situations below.

## Someone can't edit my project

They most likely have the **Viewer** role, which is view-only. Give them the **Editor** role, or approve their access request, and they can create nodes, generate, and edit right away. Compare what each role can do in [roles](/collaboration/roles).

## I can't invite another person

Two things to check:

* **Seat limit** — each plan caps seats per workspace (1 on Free, up to 5 on Lite, up to 20 on Pro, unlimited on Ultra). When every seat is taken, Flowy tells you the limit is reached; upgrade on [plans & pricing](/billing/plans) or free a seat by removing a member.
* **Permission to invite** — invites are managed from the workspace's members settings. See [workspaces](/collaboration/workspaces) for who can send them.

## The invite email never arrived

Ask the invitee to check their spam folder and confirm you sent the invite to the address they sign in with. If it still hasn't landed, revoke the pending invite and send a fresh one from the workspace members list.

## I need access to a project

Open the project and request access — the owner gets a notification and can approve you. Once approved, you can start editing immediately. The full request-and-approve flow is described in [sharing](/collaboration/sharing).

## A teammate can't see a project

Projects live inside workspaces, so the person needs to be in the right workspace (or have the project shared with them directly). Check the workspace switcher first — they may be looking in a different workspace. See [workspaces](/collaboration/workspaces).

## Live edits aren't showing up

Flowy syncs the canvas in real time with live presence and multiplayer cursors. If someone's changes look out of date, refresh the page and check the internet connection on both sides, then confirm everyone sees the same state. More on how syncing works in [real-time collaboration](/collaboration/real-time).

<Tip>
  Working session going long? Hop into a [voice room](/collaboration/voice-rooms) to talk it through without leaving the canvas.
