# Get a tool run

> Read a tool run's status and its signed output URLs.

Returns the run's status and, once it completes, its outputs with signed, expiring URLs. Treat the `runId` as opaque. Some runs advance while you poll, so keep polling until the status is `completed` or `failed`. Needs the `tools:read` [scope](https://docs.tryflowy.ai/api/permissions.md).
